Taste the passion... from sprout to finish.
Beginning at the age of 14, Chef Jess Dowdell has worked in every aspect of the
restaurant industry literally from coast to coast.
"You can taste the difference in a plant that has been nurtured and raised naturally working with the cycles of the earth, not genetically modified and drowned in pesticides and herbicides. It is noticeable and goes far beyond just the health aspects of the harsh chemicals being consumed. It's about the health of the land, the people and families living on it and the communities that form around that land. It's a return to a simpler more sustainable way of living."
Now Jess has brought this passion back to her roots on Whidbey Island. She works closely with many local farmers to source local and organic ingredients. Her passion for the culinary arts goes hand in hand with Mukilteo Coffee Roasters' passion to roast excellent coffee.
